Warhammer 40,000 (40k) is a tabletop miniature wargame set in a grim, dark science fiction universe in the 41st millennium. Players collect, build, and paint model armies from various factions, such as the iconic Space Marines, before battling them on a tabletop using dice and strategy. The franchise also includes a wide array of video games, books, and other media that expand on its lore, which is characterized by constant, galaxy-wide war.
